Before going to sleep, what disrupted the story? Name two things

This part is where Karim, Maga and Jad get the goat and they're on the way to Chlifa and they get tired of walking so they decide to go to sleep, but I can't figure it the answer for the question. The answer should be between (p. 173-195).
