Ray Bradbury: Short Stories

Unknown

Short story was about a man laying in a cocoon and his friend and colleague watched over this process to monitor the experiment. Then the guy exits from the cocoon and appears unchanged until the very end when he is outside the house and tosses away a cigarette and takes off towards the heavens. The ending is so Bradbury! A woman is walking down a dirt road somewhere in Kansas with her son. Suddenly, a meteor rockets across the sky, "Look mom, a shooting star!"... and she replies,"Quick, make a wish!" What is the name of this short story and which book was it published?

Is the story The Chrysalis by Ray Bradbury? I'm not sure of this though.
