Question About "There Will Come Soft Rains" Genre

I know for certain this is a Science Fiction story, though I'm not sure why. Why is this story Science Fiction instead of, say, Fantasy?

This is largely a dystopian future which lends itself well to Sci-fi. The story portrays a scene of obliteration, in which the human race has been destroyed by a nuclear war.
