How does Henry respond when Mrs. Higgins scolds him?

Henry is completely oblivious about "good manners" in polite company.  He is unable to respond appropriately (apologizing for example) because these people and their actions annoy him and he has no problem being "honest" with them.  He sees no reason to apologize and sees no reason for his mother to scold him.
