Elizabeth finds Pemberley to be a luxurious setting, and momentarily regrets refusing Darcy's proposal. Women had no property rights, thus, their marriages dictated how and where they would live. Thus, we can see that property was a major consideration in arranging marriages..... particularly for daughters.
