Our Town

describe grover's corner. What is the attitude of its residents? How did the children be late to the adults in the community? How does Joe Crowell Jr. speak to Dr. Gibbs? How do mothers see themselves in the town?

Grover's Corners is a typical small town in the early part of the 20th century.  The story is designed to demonstrate the lives of the residents and their typical lifestyles on a day-by-day basis.  The people are respectful to those around them treating the adults with the respect adults deserve.  And while the mothers have big dreams about what "might have been," they are devoted to their children and focus their lives on their children's happiness.
