Describe the character of Othello.

Othello is a well respected officer in the Venetian military, as well as a Moor. He falls in love with beautiful Desdemona, who he marries without her father's permission. Unfortunately, Othello's great love for his young wife, in addition to his propensity for jealousy ruins his life. Othello is a great man, but his failings appear to have been even greated..... he falls as a result of his jealousy and pride.
