Othello

Act IV

Does Desdemona suspect that Othello plans to kill her or does she think this is merely a misunderstanding that will blow over?

Yes Desdemona suspects she will die. She knows Othello's rash nature of absolutes without reason. When Othello strikes Desdemona, he illustrates the severity of his change. Just her mention of Cassio sends him into an unreasonable rage; every little thing he regards with suspicion, even if he has no cause.
