Everytime the subject of the farm and the rabbits comes up George reminds Lennie not to tell anyone. Well, Lennie told Candy, and after George told Candy not to tell anyone...... he responded like Lennie did in the earlier scene.

George scowled. "I thought I tol’ you not to tell nobody about that."

Candy was crestfallen. "Didn’t tell nobody but Crooks.
