Curley and his wife pose a threat to Lennie, and in turn, to George. Curley has a complex about his size..... he wants to intimidate Lennie and be the big man. Lennie, however, can only be pushed so far before reacting. Curley's wife is a threat to all of the men..... she's constantly looking for attention and affirmation.
