how have Curley's wife's dreams for her life change or been lost?

Curley's wife has given up her dreams for a marriage that meets her needs and has pushed aside her wants. She hasn't lost them, she's given them up........ have they changed? Sure, at this point I think her dreams would include the companionship of her husband. Unfortunately, she'll never know.
