If anything she is more desperate for companionship than ever before. She resorts to confessing the intimate details of her life to a man who has the intellectual capabilities of a six year old. Curly's wife feels trapped and she chooses Lennie as her final confidant. Of course Lennie understands nothing of her plight but Lennie is all she has left.
