Does Curley fit into the idea of the American Dream? and why2
All of Steinbeck's characters fall short of the American dream. Although Curley has financial stability, in the midst of an economic depression, through his father, he is lonely and has very low self-esteem. Really, like most bullies, Curley hates himself.
