5. Explain the relationship that exists between George and Lennie based on Chapter l of the book.

The relationship between George and Lenny based on the information we're given in Chapter One, would be that of a parent/child or older/ younger sibling relationship. Regardless, we understand from the first chapter that it is imposwsible for Lenny to take care of himself and George has taken responsiblity for him.
