Why and where Oedipus killed Liaus?

Jocasta tells him that Laius was killed at a three-way crossroads, just before Oedipus arrived in Thebes. Oedipus, stunned, tells her that he got into a quarrel with a man on a path at crossroads and that he might be the murderer.
