Bigger doesn't want to take a job he sees as little more than a servant to a rich, white man, and he questions Dalton's use of the relief agency chaueffers to interview. Bigger changes his mind when he sees Dalton's daughter on a newsreel, believing that as a chauffer he will be able to mingl with the rish and famous.
