The story is structured in three parts, much like a theatrical play or movie might be. THe first part engages strictly in the protagonist's conflict, in the second Douglas is far from his dreams and finally (in the third act) his conflicts arrive at resolution. This is a straight forward way about telling a story, especially a biographical story. The standard flow of narrative moves forward and is accessible to many readers.

Imagery is the literary term used fro language and description that appeals to our five senses. When a writer attempts to describe something so that it appeals to our sense of smell, sight, taste ,touch, or hearing, he/she has used imagery.
