David compares his uncle and his father? What are the main differences?

David compares his father to his uncle and finds his father lacking. Based on David’s compare and contrast of the two brothers, it seems as if they are foil characters. Frank is witty and charming while Wesley is stolid and dull. Frank is a decorated war hero, whereas Wesley couldn’t even go to war because a childhood injury made him unqualified.
