Describe Ralph's conversation with hiram.
Ralph is confused and talking in circles.... he thinks Hiram is his grandfather. He sees him again, and they have the same conversation. Ralph is just a confused old man.... but completely harmless.
I felt like I was trapped in quicksand; would he ever get anything right? Would he ever stop talking?
