DO YOU THINK MALCOLM WOULD MAKE A GOOD KING? WHY OR WHY NOT?

We never really find too much about Malcolm. He gives Macduff a rather silly test on loyalty and then claims he is a virgin who isn't greedy. What can we take from that? I suppose he isn't like Macbeth which seems good enough for Shakespeare to suggest he'll be an okay King. At least he has the lineage, and for Elizabethans, that was pretty important.

I personally believe that Malcolm would make a good king. Here are the reasons why :

Shrewd and purposeful, not only in going to England to gain the support which will eventually put him on the throne of Scotland, but also in testing Macduff before trusting him (This shows that he learnt from his father's mistakes. Duncan trusted Macbeth blindly, therefore that makes Malcolm a good judge of character.Malcolm is not too foolish to trust Macduff fast.). A clever military leader-- e.g. When he tells his men to cover themselves with branches from Birnam Wood in order to conceal their numbers-- he is also brave and capable in the battle itself. He is a wise and fair ruler since he recognises the duties of a king towards those who deserve it and promising punishment for the agents of the dead dictator, Macbeth.

That's just my opinion! :)
