Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are pretty nervous. For all her bravado L. Macbeth gives a flimsy excuse about not being able to kill Duncan because he looked like her father sleeping. The weather is stormy outside representing God's natural order of things about to be disturbed. Macbeth hallucinated a dagger that draws him to Duncan's chambers.
