What irony do you see in the fact that neither the dreamer, Simon, nor the intellectual, Piggy, survive on the island?
The irony is that Simon, the Christ Figure, is the boys' on my hope for emotional spiritual redemption. Piggy was their only hope for rational scientific solutions to their problems. Both boys were isolated and killed.
