King does "not" consider himself an outsider.

1) He was invited by the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights.

2) As a minister he is called to carry the gospel of freedom beyond his home town.

3) "Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds."
