Why did mr. Jamison as mr. Baronets Widow whether the two men she saw near the safe on the night of her husband's murder could have been wearing stockings over their heads? Do you think mr. Jameson argument should have established Reasonable Doubt in the minds of the jurors?

If the men were wearing stockings over their heads, they could not be specifically identified. The stocking masks would have supported "reasonable doubt" and made it impossible to obtain a conviction on that premise.
