Is Bertha Mason and Mr Mason Related?

this is a concernable question because I have this idea through a couple links. Mr Mason is from the West Indies and lives in a jamacian spanish town. He was an intresting guest who took everyones concern and attention while no one knew why he actually came. Moreover, Bertha and Mr Rochester got married in Jamaica and Bertha's last name is Mason as well. So, are they??? Or is there another explanaition.
