Bronte uses the air of mystery surrounding Mr. Rochester, as well as the spark between Rochester and Jane to create a bond between the characters. Ar first, they're not even sure they like each other...... over time, they come to respect each other and even become friends. Bronte, none-the-less, builds up their relationship..... and the plot, through the chemistry between them.
