The relationship begins as beautiful. Father L saves Saul from a life of torment by introducing hockey to him. Later it turns much darker. The relationship between Saul and Father Leboutilier becomes sexually abusive. He grants Saul special privileges in order to explot his need for affection and subsequently..... to rape him.
