what is agamemnons response to the seers words

Agamemnon's response is pure anger. He refuses to return Chryseis unless Achilles agrees to give him Briseis as compensation.

Agamemenon is furious after listening to the prophet who clearly states that the plaugue is struck upon the Greek army because Agamemenon refused to send Chrysies back with her father Chryses and accept the ramsom which he brought with him. Agamemenon moreover insults the priest in front of everybody and blumty dismisses him.
