Malala's father was unsure if he should accompany Malala to Birmingham or stay in Pakistan to take care of his wife and sons. If Malala goes alone, it would cause a big problem because she was a minor. Malala's mother asked her husband to stay, while Colonel Junaid, Dr. Javid and Dr. Fiona persuaded him to go abroad.
