Who is the MMA and what did they attempt to do in Pakistan?

The MMA was the Muttahida Maglis e-Amal was a group of five religious parties that ran the madrasas where the Taliban were trained. The MMA wished to set up a morality police in Pakistan in the same way they had done so in Afghanistan.
