In Act II, Falstaff is presented as a man whi is confident in his friednship with Hal. He speaks to him as an equal.... a friend, and when Falstaff's page brings a letter to Hal from Falstaff; the letter is written in a casual, familiar, and irreverent style. Hal and Poins laugh disapprovingly at Falstaff's presumptions.
