How is Hamlet consternation over the state of Denmark and example of the "trap" metaphor? How is the metaphor built?

 I'm not exactly sure about "trap" metaphor but there is certainly a "trap" motif throughout the play. Hamlet talks about Denmark being a "dungeon". Rosencrantz and Guildenstern counter that it is only Hamlet's attitude that makes it so. Hamlet retaliates with the metaphor (this might be it) of being bound in a nutshell and thinking he is "the king of infinite space." "
