What are the merits and the demerits of Mr.Jaggers ?

I need an answer supported by events from the novel.. And if you can give me some resources "links for some articles" that i can look for an answer in.. That would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance

Jagger's positive traits are his intelligence, ability to defend his clients, and above all else....... his desire for the truth. Outside of the fact that Jaggers isn't overly friendly and spends a lot of time defending criminals (guilty criminals), he's not a bad guide. He is closed, guarded, and matter of fact,  but that doesn't make someone a bad guy...... it just makes them hard to like.
