Mr. Tom gave Willie a pencil to make a mark on the wall. The mark will serve as the guide for where Tom hangs the peg that will hold Willie's coat.
"Go on," said Tom. "I told you before, I ent got all day. Now make a mark so's I know where to put a peg, see."
