How does C.T.E. differ from a concussion?

C.T.E. is a disease that occurs after brain trauma. It is both progressive and degenerative, it destroys brain tissue over time, and is accompanied by multiple symptoms that get worse over time. From the information I've been able to find, there is no treatment for this disease.
