People are depressed because they lack human connection. Relationships are nonexistant, conversation is general at best, family is found on giant television screens. Husbands and wives live together but separately, anti-depressants are the norm, mothers and children are without bonds, and the desire to learn or enjoy nature has been squashed and replaced by technology.
