According to Faber, society needs quality of information, the leisure to digest it and the right to act on what they have processed from the first two. In this society books are burned, especially books with authentic and real information. People are distracted from thinking about anything meaningful by an endless barrage of vapid meaningless entertainment. Consequently, people don't have the knowledge or the motivation to enact change.
