David Lloyd is a British illustrator and comics artist.
Born in Enfield, London, Lloyd spent the 1970s drawing for several comics titles. In 1982, he collaborated with Alan Moore on V for Vendetta. Lloyd suggested to Moore that V wear a Guy Fawkes mask, which people in Britain wear on bonfire night. However, Lloyd re-drew the mask with a smile built into it. Protesters later wore the smirking V for Vendetta mask during the Occupy Wall Street movement.
