What are some examples of irony in chapter 7/ what effect does irony have on the chapter or story.

Dramatic irony can be found in the fact that we, as readers, understand that Dracula traveled aboard the ship and was responsible for the mist, and the reason the captains was tied to the wheel holding a crucifix. The characters in the story do not yet know Dracula is amongst them.
