who is Mr. Jones? what events bring on a rebellion against him?

Mr. Jones is the owner of Manor Farm and a drunkard. His animals overthrow him because Jones subjugates them and enjoys the fruits of their labour. Old Major wanted the animals to overthrow Jones and emancipate themselves from Jones's tyranny.
