An Inspector Calls

Both Eric and Gerald are ambiguous characters and can be neither vilified or admired. To what extent do you agree with this statement?

I think this is true to some extent in that they both did not set out to be malicious. They are still, however, culpable for their blatant disrespect for people of lower class. Erik, for example, took no responsibility for Eva Smith's pregnancy.
