Structure

The author states his purpose for the way the story is structured in the italicized introduction. He makes it very clear that his choice of structure begins by referencing Orwell’s “prophecy,” and goes on to contrast Orwell's prophecy with Huxley’s vision, lastly contrasts the two writers’ fears. His introduction of these two great writers as individuals first, lays the groundwork to compare and contrast their beliefs.
