There are two main conflicts in the novel, A Wrinkle in Time. The first is an internal conflict, man versus self, which in this case means Meg. Meg's internal conflict is her battle against fear and self-doubt. The external conflict involves the battle against the Dark Thing, which threatens to annihilate the peace of the universe.
