A Wrinkle in Time

Chapter 3-4

In this chapter Calvin tells Meg, "You don't know how lucky you are to be loved," and Meg responds, "I guess I never thought of that. I guess I just took it for granted." How is this a change for Meg from her feelings in chapter 1? What theme do you think the author is focused on in the first 3 chapters? Why do you think he has chosen this theme?

Meg realizes that she is a very lucky girl to have a family and be loved like she has been. In chapter 1, Meg complained about her life including her family and her school life. The theme of love and family is strong throughout this book.
