These novels are very similar in theme. Things Fall apart takes place pre-colonialism while A grain of wheat is during Colonialism. The protagonist of A Grain of Wheat,Mugo, is different from Okonkwo. Mugo is handsome, introverted, mysterious man who lives in the village while Okonkwo is outspoken and aggressive.
