What does Winston dream about

Winnston dreams about his last few moments with his mother. He sees her face, and he sees the way she looked after her father left them. He envisions the betrayal in her eyes, and he dreams of how hard it was when they were left alone to struggle. Winston also remembers a dream he had in which his mother was gazing out at him from a sinking ship.
