In George Orwell's novel 1984 what is the relationship between language and thought, especially political thought? And how is language abused?

Political thought is expressed in the language that is put out to the people in the form of "propaganda." This is a blatant abuse of language since it is manipulated to accomplish the agenda of the political machine and allows the people no chance to think for themselves.
