Imagery of sunset
Herr Spinell likes looking at the sunset at Einfried. It makes him repeat word beautiful over and over again. At the end of the novella he sees the sunset once again while taking a walk. The beautiful picture is now ruined by the grotesque apparition that appeared before him, just like Frau Kloterjahn's beauty was ruined by her husband and her child.
Imagery of winter/snow
It is winter in Einfried when Frau Kloterjahn stays there. There is whiteness of snow covering everything; it's once again beautiful in the eyes of Herr Spinell whose artistic mind sees beauty in everything.
Imagery of furniture
Einfried is furnished with simple and useful objects that aren't necessarily comfortable, but this kind of discomfort suits Herr Spinell. His room has a small desk and a yellow curtain that he most likely placed there.
Music imagery
Music imagery is present especially in the chapter where Frau Kloterjahn plays the piano. The entire chapter is focused on the beauty of her playing and it connects her even more to Herr Spinell.
