Understand how Eliot uses poetic language and structure to explore characters and themes.
Create poems and other works of art inspired by (or in reaction against!) Eliot.
Understand the impact of history on the creation of literature by researching Eliot's social context, and understand the impact of biography on the creation of literature by researching Eliot's personal and religious journey.
Engage with modern poetry and poetic devices and their place in literary history.
