Kind of Activity:
Students will be able to analyze the text's imagery and symbolism and relate those devices to textual themes.
Have students annotate the text's descriptions of the natural world. Ask them to highlight, underline and/or write in the margins. Consider having students use an application like Evernote to document and write about parts of the text that evoke imagery.
